Everything We Know So Far About Erased

Erased is an anime adaptation of a manga series.

The 13 episode TV show started airing from January 8, 2016 to March 25, 2016 and was directed by Itou Tomohiko with animation done by A-1 Pictures.

The original creator of Erased or Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi is Sanbe Kei who also wrote “Mouryou no Yurikago” and “Hoozuki No Shima”.

Instead of high octane action animation, shows like Erased need sober and tranquil visuals.

A-1 Pictures has created bangers such as Your Lie In April that have these characteristics so they were a great choice for creating this series.

Before watching Erased, it might be important to review the synopsis of Satoru’s story.

The story of Erased is about a struggling manga artist named Satoru Fujinuma who has the ability to go back in time and prevent tragedies.

There’s just one problem: Satoru has the ability to go back in time. He calls it “Revival.”

When something bad is about to happen, Revival kicks in and gives him a signal that he should avoid the bad thing from happening.

He then travels back a few seconds before something’s about to happen, figures it out, and tries to fix it.

However, his life turns upside down when his mother was killed by someone unknown.

To save his mother, Satoru tries going back 18 years with Revival but instead of traveling forward a few months like usual , he goes all the way back for 18 years .

It was during these days that Satoru experienced the unthinkable. But is this past connected to his current life?

All these questions would be answered as you watch every episode of Erased, a thriller anime about an adult man who gets sent back in time so he can fix all the events surrounding his mother’s murder when he was just a child himself.

There were several adaptations made for it including live-action movie and TV series since 2016 and 2017 respectively; I hope we’ve covered everything because now we’re done!

Official Announcements And Release Date Of Erased Season 2

As you guys know, official announcements and release dates are our prime source of confirming another season.

However, is that the same case with Erased? Did the creators show any notion towards a sequel?

Are there any official statements about it yet? The answer to both questions is no.

But Wait! Don’t dishearten yourself just yet; You see, even if an anime hasn’t received an announcement for its second season doesn’t mean that one won’t happen at all.

I don’t know if Erased will ever get a sequel, but I do think there are plenty of opportunities for the creators to wake up someday and put up an official statement.

Based upon that, we can try and figure out the chances of it happening again.

A discussion of Erased’s chances for a second season would be interesting and helpful.

Shows like Vinland Saga and KonoSuba received anime adaptations after we posted our discussions about them, so I hope you understand the importance of these speculations!

More Source Material Information On Erased Season 2

Erased is an anime adapted from a manga series, and to know more about the source material of Erased we need to look at the manga.

Creator Kei Sanbe wrote Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi or ‘Erased’ which was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine between June 2009 and December 2014 spanning 22 volumes with total 37 chapters.

The manga ran for three years, with a total of 49 chapters in 9 volumes.

This anime adapted all the available content from the source material and gave its own ending to close out everything that happened throughout it.

Award catalog has also been quite favorable for this series.

It was nominated three consecutive times in the Manga Taisho Award, ranking 2nd, 4th, and 4th respectively during its occurrence in 7-9. Moreover to add it up, it ranked 16th 9th 10 th Kono male manga ga sugoi! rankings from 2014-16.”

The anime and the movie both had alternate endings, but since Netflix adapted it more closely to the manga than either of them did I’m going to assume they’ll be sticking with Erased’s original ending.

But while we’re on that topic, don’t forget about all those pesky extra novels set in this same universe by Hajime Ninomae which were released after Satoru stopped saving people. You know how much fun reading is!

The KonoSuba story ended once the manga stopped publishing. However, there is no definite conclusion in Erased and more content could be adapted if an anime episode were to continue.

“Wait! Don’t leave just yet,” I said. “I want to remind you about a few series.” Ever heard of Fruits Basket or Fullmetal Alchemist?

They both came back with REMAKES after finishing the original story, and in our case an example that would fit in is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood because it changed certain events from the manga like Erased did too.

Manga readers are taken into consideration first when making an anime adaptation so if they aren’t satisfied then there’s a problem with your show being made at all.

It’s unlikely that another season would be created, as there isn’t enough source material to cover.

A remake is more likely than a new season because the creators wouldn’t have to create anything entirely original if they went with this option.

Erased is a great anime that has spawned many fan theories.

However, if the ending were to come true in real life it would be difficult for this series to continue on as its own story because of how popular it already is!

Popularity Information Of Erased Season 2

Popularity is another important aspect that helps decide if a franchise will get more seasons.

If the show has enough popularity, creators are likely to give fans more installments from their favorite series.

So let’s talk about Erased- how popular it actually is?

To answer this question, we need to look at three different aspects; Google Trends (Web Search Volume), Twitter (Number of Tweets) and overall number of searches made on google for “Erased.” These factors should be able to tell us just how ‘popular’ our anime really is! Let’s take each one individually.

Google Trend

Erased season 2 google trends

Google Trends is a tool that shows the amount of searches revolving around certain topics.

For example, in 2016 there was many people looking for information regarding Erased Season 2 and how it might happen soon!

Anime fans are mostly talking about the anime KonoSuba and Vinland Saga for another season because there is a higher demand.

However, Erased Season 2 has not been trending as often other than two peaks in 2020-2021.

The end of Erased season 1 left fans wanting more, so it’s understandable that the Google Trends results are low.

However, many people still consider this ending to be satisfactory and would like a remake or another season in general.

Twitter

Erased season 2 Twitter

Twitter is a platform where anime fans and creators connect in order to have fun. If Erased shows support on Twitter, it would give an idea as to how popular the show currently is.

Moreover, if supporters have shown their direct support for the creator then they may consider making more episodes of Erased.

The Twitter fandom for Erased is not very strong, with only 33.3k followers on the official account before it’s sequel was announced.

This isn’t encouraging considering anime accounts that are popular usually have over 100k followers and still haven’t received a second season yet like Mob Psycho 100 or Bunny Girl Senpai which both come in at around 170-180K follower count between their two respective Twitters.

Not saying that all sequels go to shows who already have large numbers of fans but this does give us an idea about how many people may be watching when looking towards its future seasons.

Although Erased seemed to be popular, the anime’s Twitter account didn’t seem like it had many followers.

Although this issue might only last for now, let’s see what happens in the future.

Search In US, UK

Search volume for Erased Season 2 is important because it’s proportional to popularity. If a show is popular, you’ll see more searches than if the show isn’t as famous so we should pay attention.

Since this shows how much fans want and love their favorite series, they’re likely going to search multiple times with interest in season two of eraser confirmed by many sources!

I know you’re thinking it’s not worth your time to watch Erased Season 2 because the first season was so good, but I’m here to tell you that if something seems too perfect it probably is.

The search volume for Erased Season 2 is small, but that’s to be expected after the original story ended.

There are several reasons why people might forget about it: It has been 5 years since its release and millions of viewers have already watched it. However, we cannot deny their love!

Even though the search numbers for Erased are low, many still hope to see more of Satoru’s adventure.

This hints that it was popular back when it first aired but has since been forgotten by its fandom.

Why Do We Want Erased Season 2 So Badly?

One question that might pop up in your mind is, “Why do people want another season of Erased so badly?” And the answer to this is simple: The story was captivating enough for a finite first season.

People STILL want more from Satoru and his search for truth!

Fans of the anime want to see it again in a different form; whether that is another installment or a remake.

Ratings And Reviews Won So Far By Erased

The positive reviews and ratings for Erased could be used as a factor of judgment when deciding on the sequel. Let’s take a look at some!

IMDb

IMDb users are loving the anime series Erased.

They love that it’s well-directed with fantastic characters, and they’re impressed by its ability to blend action scenes seamlessly with more subdued moments like when Satoru is talking to his mom on a park bench while she eats her lunch (8/10).

MyAnimeList

Now let’s look at the website used by hardcore anime fans, MyAnimeList.

This is the website where weebs all around the world come together to talk about their favorite anime.

Reviews are positive as always however many reviews claim that there was a rush of events during last couple episodes which significantly made it worse than before .

But apart from that Erased has been given an amazing score of 8 on My Anime List and also approved by IMDb & MAL.

Conclusion

So, this is it. This was Everything You Needed To Know About Erased Season 2 in 2021.
